It's Not Always About You, Dum-Dum

Um...have you paid any attention to Dum-Dum Pops at all in the last ten years? This usually wallflower-esque sucka went out and got all jiggy with some other flavors and is now commanding the scene like Big Gay Al on fire.

Now with varieties like Coconut, Mango, Double Melon, Sour Apple Caramel, Lime Lemon, Mint Fudge, Banana Split and Strawberry Shortcake, these (USA-made! WooOoo!) overlooked lollies deserve more of a following.

I remember when I was a kiddie it was just Cherry, Sour Apple and maybe Grape (or something equally boring). In fact, pretty much all of the available candies featured the same five or so ho-hum flavors. We totally got gypped, 80's babies. 

I'm guilty of once-upon-a-time passing them up for a more expensive, bigger Blow Pop or Jolly Rancher lollipop, but now I keep a stash of these preciouses all up in this piece for the times when I just need a quick flavor in my mouth.  

"She must feeeeeed." 

You can buy these perfectly-sized little pops in bulk at your grocer (I ♥ Wegman's!) for about 10¢ each. It's the perfect solution to your "What the hell am I going to do with this dime?!" conundrum.
